🔴 Pathogen Detected
📖 Pathological Overview
Spider mites are tiny arachnids (Tetranychus urticae) that suck sap from tomato leaves, causing severe stress and defoliation under hot, dry conditions.
🔍 Disease Symptoms
Fine yellow speckling or stippling on leaves. In heavy infestations, fine webbing is visible on the undersides of leaves and growing tips. Leaves dry and turn bronze.
🩹 Cure & Treatment Plan
Spray the undersides of leaves with insecticidal soap, neem oil, or horticultural oils. Release beneficial predatory mites.
🛡 Prevention & Care Tips
Keep plants well-watered (stressed dry plants are highly susceptible). Periodically spray foliage with a strong stream of water to knock mites off.
